  • First Choice Armor has combined innovation and technology to manufacture high-quality, reliable armor. Now, that same level of quality has been engineered into the NIJ compliant KAP III+ hard armor rifle plate. The KAP III+ is tested and certified to the NIJ Standard-0101.05. Made of heat-compressed layers of Honeywell unidirectional ballistic fibers, with proprietary ceramic infusion technology, the KAP III+ provides Level III protection when worn in-conjunction with level IIIA soft armor and is independently tested to additional rifle threats.

    Special Threats:

    • 7.62mm x 51mm (NATO) at 2800 fps
    • 7.62mm x 39mm (AK47 MSC) at 2400 fps
    • 5.56mm x 45mm (SS109 Green Tip and M193 Ball) at 3300 fps
