Officer Protection

The T5 Thermal® is a multi-functional tool specifically de-signed to meet the needs of Law Enforcement, Arson Inves-tigators, and Search & Rescue Teams. The T5 allows person-nel to safely view around cor-ners, over walls, and in attics without exposing the users’ body parts to a potential hazard. In addition, the system is de-signed to interface with acces-sories, like the Pole Camera, for searching confined spaces, ve-hicle undercarriages, crawl spaces and collapsed struc-tures.

The T5 Thermal® can be used to quickly apprehend suspects, locate missing persons, collect court-related evidence and serve as a force multiplier.

Operation

The T5 Thermal® combines a FLIR® 320x240 thermal core (capable of 14 color palettes and digital zoom) with a Night-Optimized Color CCD Camera, 1500 Lumen Search Lighting System, long run-time, supple-mental infrared lighting, still im-

age capture or full audio/video recording, and the ability to in-terface with current and future accessories.

Evidence Collection

The T5 Thermal® has a number of built-in technologies which allow the user to quickly and safely perform scene searches and scene documentation. To retain Chain-of-Custody, all recordings and pictures are saved on an internal SD card. The files are date/time stamped, watermarked, and not accessi-ble by anyone except the per-son designated as the evidence manager. The videos/images are saved in a standard .avi and .jpg format allowing the evidence manager to easily import the evidence into most Case Management Systems and play on most computers and televisions.

Flexibility

The T5 Thermal® is ergonomi-cally designed so the user can use either the right hand or left hand, keeping the weapon hand free. The large buttons allow

for the user to also operate the system with a gloved hand.

Accessories

The T5 Pole Camera expands to 4’4” and collapses to 16”, which allows it to fit in the same T5 case. The Pole Camera interfaces directly to the T5 Thermal® system and contains a night-optimized color CCD camera with sup-plemental IR lighting, allowing the user to see 50-60’ in total darkness. In addition, the IR lights on the Pole Camera and on the T5 Thermal do not have a “red” glow like many other IR systems do.

Future accessories for the T5 Thermal® include: UV light attachment for identifying pro-tein based body fluids, remote wireless surveillance camera, long-range camera and audio capture, external battery pack for extended missions.

All systems come with a Tacti-cal Sling, Car Charger, AC Charger, USB/Audio/Video Cables, Training CD, User’s manual and a rugged hard-shell carrying case.
